How to kill a lizard

Allan's house is having a face lift; as the whole house was being repainted. In the midst of it all, we stumbled upon a lizard that got stucked on the wet paint and trying desperately to stay alive. Allan tried to tear it apart from the wall, but just couldn't, coz the paint has to be dried and is extremely sticky.

Allan's mum is really brave, she wanted to smack the lizard because she didn't want it to suffer for days and starved to death. But the lizard was sticked on a corner which was quite hard to reach with her slipper. Then we decided to spray Shieldtox on it. However, the insecticide was not strong enough and apparently we can still see it is struggling with its head - it's sole part which is able to move. The image is extremely disturbing, like we are placing it into the gas chamber. Then the whole family and me brainstorm for other alternatives to kill the lizard, we were trying to be humanitarian. We can't use fire because Allan told me it hurts being burnt, and we can't use hot water too because it is on the wall and quite hard to pour water on to it. Then at the end, we have no choice and decided to smack it using hammer. Allan did it! Whack whack whack!

Urghh, actually it is very disgusting and disturbing, I dare not to look at it at all. I asked Allan afterwards about his feeling, he told me he didn't think anything else but know that he have to do it quick. Of course he and his mum feel it is disgusting too, but they are really brave. Bravo!! I feel so guilty because I am afraid of lizards thus at first I told Allan to leave it to starve to death. I don't understand how can xiaxue so enjoy smacking lizard... 人有人阿妈,妖有妖阿妈。。动物抑有动物阿妈

Random Photos of Christmas

Presto also have received Christmas present from Allan's mum.

If you are sick of seeing the photos of Pavillion's Christmas deco keeps popping out here. Here are the photos of Christmas decoration in other shopping center in KL. Hehe.

White X'mas at The Curve.
The management at The Curve might think that the more the merrier, thus makes the decoration so kelam-kabut.

The cute snowman in front of Marche - The Curve

I like the bear bear toy soldiers at 1U. So fantasy-like. The piano-like stage can move also geh.

So cute.. they are playing the drums

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE OF YOU!!!!

The Singing Christmas Tree

WTH is a Singing Christmas Tree??

...

.....

........

...
....
...... ...... ...
Here it is

Isn't it very creative?

Hooi Yee told me about the Christmas musical performance at Pavillion, she said it is nice and I purposely went there on last week to watch it. It is quite nice; very merry and fairytale-like ... It attracts a lot of people sitting on the staircase facing the stage just to see the performance, after the musical, it comes the singing Christmas tree, it's so Christmas-y feel. There are also street performance along the roadside in Bukit Bintang, they have circus, clown, Santa Clause ... I am starting to like the Christmas in KL more and more. ^__^

Pardon for the ghost effect

There are some open air restaurants in Pavillion. We saw one of the 24-hours mexican restaurant having the fresh oyster promotion. It is just RM2 for each! And buy one free one promotion for the beer!!! How can we miss that right?

I'm glad that we don't need to spend buying an air ticket fly to oversea to feel the Christmas. Yeah, although it is hot here and there is no snow, but I really enjoy myself very much by just spending a evening in a shopping mall. Hehe.

My Pre-Christmas weekend

It was an exhausted weekend. I was back to Seremban on Friday to visit my new born niece, it is always very tiring to entertain all the kids in my family.
Kid can be serious too when playing game

I went to PD with my sampat Seremban-kia for BBQ on the next day. It was so fun, we even chit chat for whole night until the next day, meaning today, I will blog about this later.

Then I took a nap while I reach KL at around 3pm until 6pm, drag myself out from my cozy bed and get ready to go 1U to meet Jen Jen from Penang for dinner. I was like a zombie while I bathe and drive to 1U, I can't remember how I drive there. Haha. My head almost explode while I spent around 30 minutes to look for a parking space in 1U. Finally I met Jen Jen and the rest, there are 7 of us. We have never met each other for 2-3 years already after our convocation, last time we went to Pulau Redang for our graduation trip together! Ahhh.. those were the days. Then we joke to each other and laugh until very loud in the restaurant. It was really a great time.
And now I am back at home at 10pm++. I don't know where I get this energy from, surprisingly I am still conscious. But I can feel my brain is not functioning really well at this moment. Ja ne.

Girlie Stuff - Leed Beauty Puff

KTV just back from Hong Kong and she brought me a box of cotton pad as a souvenir. Yes, it is a box of cotton pad, as a souvenir. She asked me not to laugh when she passed it to me. I didn't laugh, I know it must be a reason for her to bring the cotton pad all the way from Hong Kong. She told me it is the best ever cotton pad she has ever used and she will grab few boxes whenever she saw it in oversea.

This cotton pad is named "Leed Beauty Puff" and is a product made in Japan. I am using it now and I love it so much!! it is a large sheet of fabric, so you can fold it or tear it as anyway you like. Although it is very thin, but it has superb water absorbency, you just need to drip a little bit of your toner and you can wipe it all over your face. And it is just perfect to remove make up especially for eyes, moreover it won't leave those irritating cotton on your face. I really love it so much.

Too bad I can't find it in Malaysia, but I guess the box that KTV gave me can last for quite long since I usually tear one sheet to two. To my dearest haopoh fa, please see whether you can get it for me from Singapore or not. Hehe.

Counting Down

Finally I have tendered my resignation. Too bad my manager insist me to serve full month of prior notice, meaning I have no time to take a rest before start my new job. Anyway, I don't want to create anymore arguments in this company thus promise him so.
Worked in this company for one and a half year, seeing a lot of peoples come and go; and finally this is my turn. Surprisingly my manager accept my resignation peacefully. Now I should start to prepare myself for the new job, hopefully everything is good in the new company.
New year, new job, new resolution!

The Golden Compass + Christmas Decoration at Pavillion

Allan won two tickets for the premier show of Golden Compass at the new cinema in Pavillion. Despite I am on call, I still sneak out (again) to watch this movie, poor Allan have to carry my laptop for me. We went to claim our tickets once we reached Pavillion, the tickets comes together with the kaleidoscope as freebie. Then, Allan asked the guy who gave him the tickets

Allan : So are there any other events before the show starts?
XX : Hmm, not events, but you can get your free drinks and popcorn.
Allan : Isn't Nicole Kidman coming?
XX : .......

We've got our tickets!

The tiny little kaleidoscope

Then we headed toward downstairs to grab something to eat. Oh, as you know, one of the famous spot in Pavillion is the J.Co donut, you can always spot the long queue there. Yes, me as a donut lover, I did queue up twice for it, it's just so nice and irresistible. Do you want ya J.Co? here is the tip, go on weekday at night (night only, I went once during weekday daytime and the queue is still very long). See, this is the shortest ever queue for the J.Co donut I've ever seen.
The S-shape queue

Then we decided to have our dinner at the Ichiban Boshi. The food is very nice, the portion is very generous, the service is good! It is x100 nicer than the Yo! sushi next door.

It is bigger in real than the photo

After the dinner, we still have lots of time. Then we walked to the center court to take some photos of the Christmas decoration. I'm sorry ya, you can see a lot of my photos in this post, haha, I just love the photos very much, can you feel the Christmas?

A tourist took this for us when he saw we were trying to self-shot. Yes, a TOURIST.

Nice or not??

This is the Christmas tree I mentioned in my previous entry which is a stage by itself; it is a staircase. The colour will keep changing, I love all the colours so I decided to put ALL of it. Haha. You must be sicked of seeing the same face for the same pose with the same backdrop. Lalala, I don't care.. hahaha

The White

The Blue

The Green

And the PURPLE!

This was taken behind the stage, Isn't it looks very "Hui Ham" (glamorous)

Another view from upstairs, looks a bit kelam-kabut though

Well, don't forgot our objective being here. We heads back to cinema again after the camwhoring. Walao, the security is so strict, we have to deposit all the electronic gadgets including handphone, laptop, camera, mp3 player at the counter before we enter the cinema. They even have few stops to scan and check your bag. Luckily pager is allowed, else I might have to wait for Allan outside the cinema.

Then the show started on time, there is no advertisement!! So syiok. The new cinema is good, the seat is comfortable and more leg rooms. More leg room is good where you don't need to stand up when people want to pass by your seat to theirs, and you don't have to endure the person behind you shaking his leg and you think is your hp vibrating. So the show ended after dunno how many hours. The movie is crap, no story line and worse no ending! Luckily I don't need to pay myself for this movie.
