地狱黑仔王

As I have mentioned in the previous blog, I have bought a car since last December but yet to receive it. After dragging for more than a month, finally it comes to the conclusion. I don't have to expect my car daily anymore, and I don't have to call and argue with the salesman anymore. It comes to the end that the salesman has run away with my money!!!
I was expecting the car yesterday afternoon as I insist to the salesman it was the due date to get me the car else I am going to file the case to Consumer Affair. Then after whole day waiting, finally I was informed by the company's boss that the salesman was run away with the down payment I paid him together with the money he got from selling my old car. Why am I so "sui" to encounter such problem in buying car?
Previously, the salesman has lend me a car to drive in order for me to hand over my old car to him before end of year 2006. Currently the car is still with me, but I dare not to drive it. My siblings and Allan are worrying about my safety as he might want to get back that car from me. Moreover, we have no clue where is my old car right now, he might had sold it, or driving it to run away, or simply dump to somewhere, or ...I dare not to imagine anymore. Damn, that car is still under my name, how how how? What will he do on it? This issue was brought up to police and hopefully it can be settled soon. Aiks...and there are lots of other thing to be followed up, and I need to go through all the process again to buy a new car..

Blood Diamond

I watched the Blood Diamond last weekend. The movie is based on true story that is still happening in Sierra Leone. Blood diamond or conflict diamond are diamonds from area in Sierra Leone used to fund military action in opposition to their government. There are lots of tragedy happens in their country due to the diamond which have captured the heart of almost every girl...

This movie bring me a huge impact, I felt very upset after watching it. Diamond is just something luxurious and not a necessary, but it cause a lot of people lost their homeland or their loved one. This movie did a very good job in raising the awareness among the public regarding the blood diamond, hopefully more people like me will ask for the 'Certificate of Origin' whenever we buy a diamond.

Viennese New Year + Luna + Wantan Mee

A new year is not a new year without being to the Viennese New Year Concert. It is a must-go MPO concert for me and Allan every year, because both of us worship Strauss' music very much. Unlike other Philharmonic concert, the Viennese New Year concert is more lively, fun and most importantly, it is centered around the music of the Strauss Family. Moreover, it resembled a new start of a new year for us, we don't want to miss this concert.

This concert falls on 6th Jan this year, and was conducted by John Georgiadis - one of the Britain's top violinist and the leader of the London Symphony Orchestra. Actually I don't have depth knowledge in orchestra, thus I don't know much about this conductor but I enjoyed the performance very much. This conductor is one of the FUNNY conductor I have ever met, he give speech before each piece, and also make the concert so interactive by asking the audience to clap hands or sing along. He even made the cuckoo sound during the performance. Haha, what a different experience I had last night.

The songs played was amongst the most famous song from Johann Strauss. There are Roses from the South, Emperor Waltz, Pizzicato Polka, Blue Danube and etc. Those pieces are so familiar and I didn't feel boring throughout the performance.

After the concert, me and Allan bound to Pan Global building for the Luna bar which we always wanted to go since long time ago. This time, we wanna complete our first action item in the list!

There is not much crowd yesterday, but still the windows seat were all occupied. We have no choice but sit by the poolside. I love this place, the music not too loud, the crowd is more matured, the bartender is friendly, the interior design is cozy, the place is spacious and the night scene from the bar is breathtaking. It is definitely a good spot for group of friends to hang out and chit chat.

Me and Allan sat by the poolside, and we can see the Eye on Malaysia outside the window!! wow, it was damn high, before that I plan to go for a ride but after seeing that and I feel like chickening out. Hehe..

Then me and Allan switch to the window seat. The window seat is just a platform with cushion on top of it, then we just lean against the glass, then you can see the KL night scene just beside you!!! we can see a lot of lights in KL town and the KL tower just beside the building and what's more, we saw Genting!!! This pub is centered with the swimming pool and it is open air, considering the height of 34 level, we can enjoy the natural breeze. I loooveee this place and I might organize a friend gathering session in this pub one day.


Then we left the Luna and had our favourite wantan mee from the famous wantan mee stall along the Sungai Besi Highway on our way back home, me and Allan are the regulars of this stall. Needless to say, the wantan mee was very delicious as usual. It reminds me of those days in MMU, we had our supper here after our study before exams.

It was a superb weekend!!! The Viennese New Year Concert seems like a kickstart to a new year for me. Now, I have the fresh start feeling and I have to start work hard for my new year resolution.

Grrhhhh

Grhhh...I am damn pissed off with the car dealer which I bought my car with.. Kanasai, it was dragged from a car of 2006 until now 2007 still haven't pass me the car. He told me all the rubbish excuse, saying the document problem la, JPJ problem la, his daughter's school opening la -_-|| (yeah, he told me this, what is it to do with me?), bla bla bla... Luckily he didn't tell me that his cockroach passed away, else I will vomit blood.. Walao er, what kind of service is this? He thought girl can easily being bluffed? This time I really damn dulan when I am suppose to get it by today but was just told that the car already passed to another customer, WTF!! I paid the deposit already, even the loan also approved since last month!!!! He thought he so big size I dare not to scold him a? I really scolded him just now, but still he unable to promise when can I get my car. I must complaint this to his BOSS, else I won't call myself Amy...

Gosh, I can't believe it is year 2007 already. I think the most spoken phrase these few days is "Time passes so fast", and following by "What have I achieved last year?". I guess most of the people will have the same thought at the end of the year , and so do I..

So, what have I achieved in year 2006? Hmmm.. I think the most significant achievement is I changed my job to be a Database Administrator, and I get my Oracle Certified Associate at October. But too bad I failed to achieve my target to be Oracle Certified Professional last year, there are always an excuse for a procrastinator like me... Well, I must get this done by June 2007!!! First to be listed down in my new year resolution.

Next, I have been going gym at least 3 times per week since June 2006, hehe, I am quite proud of my self-discipline, applause for myself, keke. And I want to keep this up for the coming year.

Another significant changes is I get a new car. The commitment to pay for the installment payment has made myself being more cautious in my financial and hopefully I can learn to spend more wisely in this year thus build myself a stronger financial foundation.

There are some action item that I was unable to achieve last year, such as getting myself a saxophone, be Oracle Certified Professional, go backpacking with Allan, and etc... All these will be carried forward to my year 2007 resolution. On top of that, I want to read more books, master yoga skill, focus in my career... Let see am I able to achieve in this year.. Ganbate Kudasai..
