New Toys to Mark a New Year

I am surprised by myself when I realize I have been using the same handphone for 3 years. Actually I still don't feel like changing one until boh-bien my hp can't even serve its purpose of being a handphone - which is to receive and make call; thus I have no choice but with great sorrow to certify its' death.

So here's my choice after few sleepless night, seriously, I have been thinking soooooo long to decide which phone I wanna buy. Haha. I know, damn aunty la me..

So, as a result.... from this -->

to this --->
TA-DA !!!!!!

A juicy apple indeed

Hehe, so far I'm very happy with this my new toy. It's more than a phone and I can't take my eyes and hands off it since the day one I bought it until now; especially the instant uploading of photos to facebook as well as the gamesssssss!! Love it.

Besides a new hp, I also got a new netbook!! Hohoho, it's a HP mini! It's so cool and portable, best match with itune to download apps to my iphone, hahahaha; and the best thing of it? It's FREE! It's a complimentary gift from TM as I sign up the Streamyx 1MB for 2 years. Hohoho, I'm such a smart consumer isn't it? Hmmm, well, actually it's Danny because he is the one subsribe this package. :P

Things I Have Done in Year 2009

Year 2009 has been an eventful year to me, in a positive way compare to 2008.

Me and Danny become an item since the early of 2009. It's true that maintaning a relationship is not any easier than getting into it. We had a lot of conflict initially, then we quarrelled, we shouted, we wanted to split.. and eventually we make up again and again... Honestly I'm quite pessimistic when dealing with relationship mainly due to the past experience; I easily wanted to end it instead of mend it. But everytime we reconcile after the quarrel, I can feel that we have a stonger bonding and we actually understand each other more and more. It's been almost a year we are together, nobody can predict what will happen to us in future, but I just hope that no matter what happen, that we can walk through the roadblocks hand in hand together.

Danny and I brought Goppy home from a petshop in April. See the picture below how much he has grew from a petite puppy to a full-grown dog. He brighthen up my day when he welcome us home with his mad wagging tail, despite the mess he did in the house. Anyhow you just can't deny he is such a lovely cutie pie.

This year, I have travelled to a lot of places, be it domestic or oversea - Bali, Singapore, Sabah, Langkawi, Lang Tengah, Cameron Highland, Kuala Kubu Bahru.... The Bali trip was a great trip with great people; although we were a bit overwhelmed by all the temples visit, but the scenary is just so picturesque and I miss the seafood dinner on Jimbaran Bay so much! Moreover me and Danny tried surfing for the first time in our life, and no doubt it's such a BIG FUN!! Who cares the sunburnt. :D

Then I went to Singapore for the CATS musical play. Love it to bits and enjoyed myself very much in the shopping spree with my besties - Eunice and Lily. I also went to Kota Kinabalu for this really memorable trip to climb the Mount Kinabalu! It's a superb experience, nothing can beat this sense of achievement when I reach the peak after the 2 days hiking. I was almost killed by the exhausted journey but I kinda miss it now. Hahaha. Besides, I tried white water rafting for the first time too in Kuala Kubu Bahru and I have to say I had a lot of fun and love it.

I went to Lang Tengah with Danny in Octber to get our diving license; which is another highlight of year 2009. The diving seems like a piece of cake for Danny but not for me. I'm too nervous everytime I started to sink from the water surface and I just can't remember all the procedures I ought to do. Argh~~ I have to polish my diving skill before I can dive with confidence to Sipadan in August 2010. Already plan one to Lang Tengah again in the coming March with the peeps in my office. :D:D:D.

Imagine a family trip with over 40 people. We did tha for our Langkawi trip in July! Haha, isn't it kua jeong? Nearly can occupy the whole flight. We went island hopping, eagle feeding, shop for cheap choc and booze, took the cable car which gives us breathtaking view of the island. It was a great trip indeed especially I love seeing the kids having fun.

Well, life is full with ups and downs. There are bad things happened, my grandmother passed away in December, guess she is relief from her sickness and at a better place now. Then I got the pay cut in year 2009 which bring a drastic impact to me. I was struggling so much to clear my debt which mostly contributed for my house renovation n furniture n electrical appliance. Luckily, I'm glad that I have settled most of the debts and looking forward for a better year with less financial burden. :D:D:D

Jean's first Ballet Performance on Stage

Jean started learning ballet since young, well, not to say she is old now, but she is going to sit for her Royal Academy of Ballet examination soon. I always wanted to see how's the dancing of my lovely niece, thus I tag along Danny to this ballet performance which was host by her ballet academy when my sister told me about it.

It's Jean's first time perform on stage but she did it so well without any sign of stage fright, I feel so proud of her. There are over 10 dances on that night and Jean was only to perform one of the dance, I didn't take the photo of the rest of the perfomance but it was a great show, the swan lake performed by the twins has touched my heart and I bet their parents must be proud of them.

R.I.P Po Po

Finally, Po Po has passed away this morning. When I received the call from sister, I felt rather relieved for Po Po actually. It's a torture for her to suffer anymore pain at her age before she can leave us behind. I guess she is now having fun with her old buddies in the heaven with Gong Gong beside her. Perhaps my mum is there with her too.

R.I.P. Po Po.

Po Po

I was thinking to go back Seremban to visit popo on the coming Sunday; but I received a call from sis this morning while I was still sleeping, she told me to go back right away else it will be too late.

While on my way back to Seremban, I can't help but I recall the day my mum passed away. The same thing happened on that day - sis woke me up with a call in the morning then I rushed back home but it was too late and all I saw is my mum in the coffin..... I should have go back home more often while my parents still alive. I really should have.... Regret, but what's the point? why we human being will only aware the essential thing in our life until it reach the point of no return, and then regret it for life, regret, yeah, so?

Then I reached the hospital and saw popo lying on bed. She has to rely on the medical equipment for breathing. I know it must be not easy for her. I hate going to hospital, it makes me realize how fragile life is, and makes me feel helpless...

Popo still at the hospital. All my maternal relatives are rushing back to Seremban to visit her and, I hate to say so, but we are ready for the worst. There is nothing we can do now, all I wish is God please have mercy on her.

Things I WANTED to do in Year 2009

It has became a ritual for me to review my past year resolution when a new year is around the corner. Here is what I wanted to do in year 2009, let see how much have I achieved.

Be debt free. Spend wisely.
  • Hmm, this is quite subjective. But I think I have changed quite a lot in my spending habit and I have settled my personal loan!! Seriously I am very happy with it and consider it my biggest achievement in year 2009!! Now I can have a clean start for 2010. Woohoo..
  • Result = Pass

Read more non-fiction, motivation book for personal development.
  • A BIG FAILED. The only non-fiction book I've read for the past year is Malcolm Gladwell's Blink; which took me months to finish and worse I still can't digest well what is this book trying to tell; at the end I still couldn't master the power of thinking without thinking! Hah! I think I better switch back to my fiction book reading.
  • Result = Fail

Make exercise a habit.
  • Yeah, I manage to make exercise a habit. Thanks to the gym room and swimming pool of my condo. However, I still gained weight due to .. what else?.. eating a lot... sigh~
  • Result = 50%

Be more health conscious.
  • Me and Danny cook quite often and I assume that is the biggest stake holder in one's healthy lifestyle. :).
  • Result = Pass

Get rid of skin sensitivity.
  • Phew~ Now when I'm reading my 2009 new year resolution I realize I used to have a terrible skin condition. Thanks God it has improved a lot, above all the rashes are gone. I'm glad that the big bucks I spent in my facial does not go to waste. Perhaps the healthy lifestyle helps too. ^_^
  • Result = Pass

Be more detailed and organized in work.

  • Hmmmm... still lot of room for improvement.
  • Result = 50%

Sit for the exam of saxophone.

  • Aiks, I've stopped my saxophone class since early of the year, let alone taking the exam. Stopped the class due to financial problem, undeniable the pay cut has brought some impact to my life which I have to sacrifice some of my spending and saxophone class is in the list.
  • Result = Fail

To keep my house clean and tidy.

  • I put in lots of effort to keep my house clean and tidy, but Goppy always mess it up with his toys and footprints seconds after I sweep and mop the floor. Anyway, I think I did it quite well, although the neat freak Danny might not agree with me , keke... well, will improve...
  • Result = 50%
More charity work and donation to help people in need.
  • Again, due to the paycut, I couldn't increase my monthly amount for the auto debit donation. :(
  • Result = Fail

Improve my english.

  • hmmmm... I don't even blog that often anymore; shall blame the facebook, don't you agree it's much more convenient to upload photo or status in the facebook rather than blog about it... reading? lesser too.. argh, what's wrong with me.
  • Result = Fail

To be a more homey person.
  • YES!! I officially declare myself a homey person now. :D
  • Result = Pass

Climb the mount Kinabalu.
  • The proof. *proud
  • Result = Pass

Learn up a new talent.
  • Erh, is puppysitting and diving a talent? And I won a runner up in a pool competition, does that count too? Hehe, I guess not...
  • Result = Fail

A Zoo Day Out

It's a school holiday, and my siblings decided to bring their kids to the Zoo Melaka for a lawatan sambil belajar (omg, I can't believe I'm using such an old school term :p)!!

I can't recall when was my last time visiting a zoo, and I don't think I will purposely go to Melaka for it's zoo if not with my nephews and nieces :D. No doubt the kids love it to bits; in fact I love zoo too and it double the fun and excitement when I do it with the kids; despite the weather is damn hot and I nearly got a heat stroke. Argh, we didn't aware that the Zoo Melaka opens at night, else we should've come at night.

Can see the kids really enjoyed themselves very much. ^^

*roar

It's Melman

And hi there, Marty!

The iguana that freaks the kids out :D

After the zoo-ing, all of us adult beh tahan and went to Mahkota Parade solely for the purpose of its air-cond.. :D... There we spotted the large field in front of Dataran Melaka. The kids doesn't need a see-saw to turn a field into a playground, they had enough fun by just running around the empty field. Apprently they are easy to please. :)

I really love this pic; especially the facial expression. So joyful!

After laze away the day in the mall, it's dinner time and we went to the Melaka Raya to hunt for the famous Nyonya cuisine. Yummeh!!! I love Nyonya cuisine... After the dinner, then it's the adult's happy hour for the shopping spree at the Jonker street. But of course the kids gotta enjoy as well since their parents will never miss out buying them toys :). I got myself some magnets and a straw hat for only RM11!! wooohooo!! who cares when will I get the chance to wear it. Haha.. Then we call it a day after the Jonker shopping. As usual, family day out always have plenty of fun! ^^
