The Awakening

It is my sister's suggestion to attend "The Awakening" concert at the eleventh hour. There I bought the tickets a day before the concert for myself, my 2 sisters, my sister's colleague and my colleague - Chia Lee. As per our expectation, we can't get a good seats, but good enough that we are still able to get the ticket.

This is a charity show that showcase the talents of performers from China and Malaysia, the proceeds of this concert will fund the operating expenses of the Amriteswari Foundation centers in Puchong, Semenyih and Penang.

The show was great, especially the performance performed by the China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe. These hearing impaired artistes have toured the world extensively and front-lined at the Beijing Paralympics this year. Can you believe that? They are deaf yet can dance so gracefully. Bravo!

The Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. It's definitely a WOW.

Wow!

The Soul of a Peacock - I personally love this one the most.

So gracefully. I think she was being caged with a peacock for months to catch the feel of how to being one. :p

Butterfly Lovers - 梁山伯与祝英台

Green Seedlings - a lively dance, the "grass" is so cute.

Yellow Earth - another lively dance, can feel the "umph"

Besides, I was impressed by the DeafBeat drum troupe which comprises by local deaf musicians. This being said people with disabilties in our very own country which passionate about art is now given chance to join this fast growing drum troup which established by YMCA since 2007.

The DeafBeat Drum Troupe

All the performers in this concert were not here for our symphaties; they show us that though their lives are a bumpy journey, yet they strive and work hard to overcome the obstacles in order to pursuit their dream. Shouldn't we give our full support to them and feel gladful for having what we have?
