2011 recap

Oh well, it's the time of the year again to recap what have I done for the past one year. Year 2011 to me was truly eventful. I was sent to Korea for a work assignment since beginning of the year. It was initially a 2 months assignment and got extended again and again from winter to spring and eventually summer. Undeniable Korea is a nice place; the food, the weather, the culture and most important the people! The work assigment itself has been tough to me, I worked around the clock, had language barrier and culture shock, struggled to meet the timeline, difficulties in dealing with demanding client and complex system, homesick and etc, but all this has given me chance to learnt and gain exposure, I appreciate it much.

Danny flew to Korea to meet up with me. I was happy :)

With a blink of an eye, Spring has arrived.

Cozy weather during the spring with great people I met in Korea

Before I knew it, it's Summer. Had lots of fun with Cylvia after I moved to the same hotel with her. We both love shopping, drinking, eating, and laughing.. We shared the infamous story where 2 of us can finish the whole chicken where it usually serve for 4. And we can shop until 4am! :p.

We were so close we even saw each other naked body at the Korean spa - Jimjilbang. Kakaka :D. Btw, the Jimjilbang experience was SUPERB. I've never felt so rejuvenated before. Now I know the secret of beauty of Korean girls.

Then... after 7 months, it came my farewell. It was nostalgic to leave a bunch of lovely colleagues. We were like having college life in Korea - we stayed together, makan together, burn the midnight oil together, plan for weekend activities together.. and get drunk together! Love you guys.

To the peeps

On the other hand; while I was away from home, Danny has relocated to Singapore. Yeah, so we are now maintaining a distance relationship. However, although we are in a LDR now, but I don't feel that we are drifting apart at all, distance makes heart grow fonder, on a second thought, it's not too bad as we are still meeting each other weekly or not every 2 weeks. But of course, I think it would be better if we can stay with each other again just like how we used to be, well so I've requested for a transfer and let's see if that happen and this will be my resolution for 2012. Wish me luck. :)

Another new journey I've started in 2011, which is the online biz I started with KTV to sell accessories I brought back from Korea. Although we are just earning peanut in this side business, but I believe the journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step, well, maybe not for the thousand miles journey, but at least I'm doing something more fun than my day time job. I'm enjoying it now at the moment, the whole process from shopping for stock, taking the picture, promote and advertise, building the customer relationship and etc.. hope both of us can be persistent in this in year 2012!

In September, Danny was sent to Paris by his company and I decided to tag along. It was my first time land my feet on Europe! Paris doesn't loved by so many people especially girls for no reason. I love this place so much too. I spent a week in Paris and all I do during the day time while Danny at work is either laze away my day with a book on the grass, or visit the museums, or simply walk around without any itinerary in mind. Danny and I had great time in Paris - we dine and wine, picnic by the Seine river, had macaroon in the park, rent a Vespa and get ourselves lost in the city, went to the Church Service at the Magdalanae, vist the Paris Disneyland, had nutella at the Sacre Coeur, walk down the famous Champs Elysees and the sweetest moment - got proposed to on the Eiffel Tower. :) . It was indeed a surprise and I'm really touched. Now I just couldn't love Paris any less as it's a place carry such a big meaning to my better half and myself. Btw, if you were to ask me when are we having our wedding; we don't have a date yet. :p.

Love the cute yellow Vespa

Wine by the Seine river with my better half. :)

Must have Macaroons! Yummy. :)

Arc de Triopmhe

The Jardin du Luxembourg, or the Luxembourg Gardens

@ Paris Disneyland :D

What more to say? Our dream comes true!!

The moment of proposal. It goes from "Will you?" to "I do" :)

Forever thankful that we found each other. :)

It's not the end yet. I told you it's an eventful year. Besides the Paris trip, I went diving with Danny during my flyback from Korea. It's been 2 years since my last dive. We drove to Terengganu and take a speed boat to the Lang Tengah island. I'm still not familiar with my buoyancy control and panic while I dive, nevertheless it was awesome and this time round we were able to take some nice underwater photo with my newly bought underwater casing. :) . Besides, I was on a family trip to Hatyai and went to Bali for Lezann's wedding. Although there is nothing much in Hatyai but I had great time too, it's spending precious moment with family that matter the most. And need not to say, Bali trip was awesome with the crazy gang.

After I got back from my oversea assignment; I was unassigned to any project. I've been working long hour constantly since I joined this organization, after 2 years this is my first time being so free at work. That's why most of my friends were surprised when they see back in action on facebook and MSN again. It wasn't too bad until I got super bored now being on the bench. I'm hoping "something" to turn up. Keep my finger crossed, don't make me wait too long.
